Pets, Activities and Outings

Pets

We currently have goldfish in the pond, and a hamster indoors. Periodically we
purchase caterpillars to watch their lifecycle, and similarly with tadpoles.

Activities and Outings

During the week, in term time, the younger children are taken on outings to parks,
walks, toddlers groups, Children’s Centre’s (Also called Sure Start Centres), indoor
soft play areas, to feed ducks, fruit/vegetable picking at the local farm, libraries.
In school holidays the trips out can be arranged to be longer, visiting places like
Bockett’s Farm, Alice Holt Forest, Wisley Gardens, and Brooklands Motor Museum
Obviously the outings are decided based on all the children’s age and abilities.
I aim to make everything we do fun and varied. I believe this increases the children’s
physical, social, emotional and communication skills, all of which will enhance their
long term education.
